That will start the mod[s] downloading. You can monitor the download progress in the top right corner of the Skyrim launch window. Once the mod has downloaded[may take a few minutes], it will syncronize. Then just hit play in the launcher and the game will start with your mod installed.

To verify the mod is activated, on the games main menu click Data Files and make sure there is a check mark in the box next to the mods name. Thats it? All you have to do is play the game while it DL's? I feel stupid. Then hit play again Open data files and make sure there is a check mark next to the mods name before you hit play a second time. My existing subscribed mods have disappeared also most of them anyway. I am currently attempting to reinstall the game. I'm getting the same issue, I'm guessing. I tried removing the game, and the Civ5 folder in MyGames, then reinstall, verify the game cache to mend that one file that won't download, and restart my computer.

And even still it won't download mods. What gives? I have had the same problem. I finally figured out how to have the mods steam subscribed mods not downloading every time. In summary: make sure Steam is not running on your computer before you start CIV, and the mods will appear.
