I had the same problem with video until I went back to the store where I bought my drone. The owner was knowledgeable more than Tello Cust Serv and had the same issue from his iPhone until he went into settings and calibrated my drone mid-flight.

Then video recording started to work normally. On my iPhone X Max it then worked without any further calibration. This should be fixed or at least mentioned in the manual.
